Built With Science+ is now available on Apple Watch, allowing you to log workouts directly from your watch alongside your phone. This means you can leave your phone in your bag and move through your workouts seamlessly.
With Apple Watch sync enabled, you can:
- Track workouts directly from your watch
- Receive vibrating rest timer notifications
- Monitor heart rate during workouts
- Contribute workouts to your Apple Activity Rings
- Automatically log sessions without manually starting a workout on your watch
Note: Apple Watch sync is currently available on iOS only. Support for additional wearables and Android devices will be added in a future update.
Enable Apple Watch Sync in Built With Science+
- Open the Built With Science+ app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Scroll down to Apple Watch.
- Toggle on Apple Watch Live Sync.
Set Up the Watch App
Before syncing can work, make sure the Built With Science+ Apple Watch app is installed on your device.
To install:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down to available apps.
- Download or enable the Built With Science+ watch app.
Note: The minimum supported version is watchOS 11. Apple Watch Series 6 and newer are supported.
Having Trouble Starting a Workout on Your Watch?
If your watch is connected but workouts are still not starting properly, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Open the Built With Science+ app on your Apple Watch and keep the screen active for a few seconds.
- Ensure Bluetooth and WiFi are enabled on both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Keep your Apple Watch within Bluetooth range of your iPhone.
- Restart the Built With Science+ app on your Apple Watch.
- Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Reinstall the watch app from the Apple Watch app settings on your iPhone.
