How do I cancel my app subscription?

To cancel your Built With Science+ subscription, start by opening the app and going to your profile settings.

From there, tap Manage Subscription. You'll be brought to the BWS+ payment portal where you can tap to Cancel Subscription here. You can also update your payment details at this location. 

You will have the option to cancel your subscription for this current billing period or the next one. 

Note: If you're having trouble accessing the Manage Subscriptoin portal through the app, you can always use this payment portal to renew your subscription should you wish to return to the app or just need to update your payment method.

Subscriptions Through Apple

You may not have the option to access the Manage Subscription portal if you've created your account through the Sign in with Apple login method. If that's the case, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Settings app in Apple device.

2. Tap your name at the top, then select Subscriptions.

3. Find your Built With Science subscription and tap it.

4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

5. If you're no longer on your two week trial, you will continue to maintain access until the end of your current billing period.

6. For immediate cancellations and payment queries, you will need to contact the Apple support team directly as the BWS does not have visibility or control into accounts created through this sign-in method.
