Depending on when your subscription was purchased, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund.
Step 1: Cancel your subscription
Head over to your Manage Subscription portal and cancel your subscription. This will trigger the refund options available to you.

Step 2: Check your eligibility

Within 48 hours of purchase
You’ll be eligible for a full refund. -
Between 48 hours and 14 days
You’ll be offered a prorated refund based on the unused time remaining in your subscription. -
After 14 days

Subscription made through Apple
If you created your BWS+ account using Sign in with Apple, your subscription was likely processed through Apple’s App Store. In these cases, we cannot issue refunds ourselves because Apple manages the billing entirely.
You will need to request a refund directly from Apple’s support team. They are usually quick to respond and will guide you through the process.
How to request a refund from Apple
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
Sign in using the Apple ID linked to your BWS subscription
Select Request a refund
Choose the Built With Science purchase from your list
Submit the form and wait for Apple to respond by email
Important
If your subscription is tied to Apple billing, do not forget to cancel it from your iPhone settings to avoid future charges.

Tap Subscriptions
Find Built With Science+
Tap Cancel Subscription
